linear-scan voltammetry

synonym: linear-sweep voltammetry
initialism: LSV
https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.09141
Voltammetry in which the electric current is recorded as the electrode potential is varied linearly with time. See figure.
Notes:
  1. The peak current is expressed by the Randles–Ševčík equation.
  2. The scan is usually started at a potential where no electrode reaction occurs.
  3. LSV corresponds to the first half cycle of cyclic voltammetry.

Linear scan voltammogram of current against applied potential for a reversible redox couple.
