Ketonic parent sugars (polyhydroxyketones $\ce{H–[CHOH]_{n}–C(=O)[CHOH]_{m}–H}$ with three or more carbon atoms) and their intramolecular hemiacetals. The oxo group is usually at $\ce{C-2}$. E.g. ᴅ-fructose:
