Assay conditions, as determined by assay validation, are performed in the chosen plate format with an acceptable signal to background ratio as described by the Z′ factor.
Note: Validation typically requires testing a number of samples a minimum of three times and allows for the estimation of false positives, false negatives, and the selection of statistically significant thresholds.
