Qualifier for a macromolecule, a surface, or a device that is not detected by defense proteins of the complement and the Mononuclear Phagocyte System, especially macrophages, after introduction in parental compartments.
Notes:
  1. Detection by natural defenses generally leads to the destruction of the device or of the surrounding tissues.
  2. Surfaces are often decorated by chemical entities aimed at suppressing the activation of the natural defense processes.
