take-off angle

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.09296
Angle between the trajectory of a particle as it leaves a surface and the local or average surface plane.
Notes:
  1. The particular surface plane needs to be specified.
  2. The take-off angle is the complement of the angle of emission.
  3. In the past, ‘take-off angle’ has sometimes been used erroneously to mean angle of emission.
