Several modifications of the Zimm plot are in frequent use; the most common one uses the excess scattering instead of the excess Rayleigh ratio.","links":[{"term":"Rayleigh ratio","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/R05159"},{"term":"chemical potential","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/C01032"},{"term":"excess Rayleigh ratio","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/E02236"},{"term":"particle scattering function","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/P04429"},{"term":"radius of gyration","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/R05121"},{"term":"scattering","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/S05487"},{"term":"virial coefficient","url":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/\/terms\/view\/V06625"}],"sources":["Purple Book, 1st ed., p. 66 (http:\/\/old.iupac.org\/publications\/books\/author\/metanomski.html)"]}],"altoutputs":{"html":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/terms\/view\/Z06748\/html","xml":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/terms\/view\/Z06748\/xml","plain":"https:\/\/goldbook.iupac.org\/terms\/view\/Z06748\/plain"},"citation":"Citation: 'Zimm plot' in IUPAC Compendium of Chemical Terminology, 5th ed.
