A macromolecule that comprises constitutional units connected in such a way that adjacent constitutional units are joined to each other through more than four atoms, more than two on at least one side of each constitutional units.
Note:
A macromolecule that comprises constitutional units joined to each other through n atoms on at least one side of each @C01288@ is termed an n-strand macromolecule, e.g. three-strand macromolecule. If an ambiguity exists in defining n, the highest possible number is selected.
