mesomorphic transition

A transition that occurs between a fully-ordered crystalline solid and an @I03353@ liquid. Mesomorphic transitions can occur (i) from a crystal to a @LT06856@ (ii) from a @LT06856@ to another @LT06856@ and (iii) from a @LT06856@ to an @I03353@ liquid.
