Compounds derived from oxoacids RkE(=O)l(OH)m (l ≠ 0) by replacing =O by =NR; thus tautomers of amides. In organic chemistry an unspecified imidic acid is generally a carboximidic acid, RC(=NR)(OH). E.g. RS(=NH)2(OH) a sulfonodiimidic acid.
