Title: Guinier plot Long Title: IUPAC Gold Book - Guinier plot DOI: 10.1351/goldbook.G02712 Status: current Definition A diagrammatic representation of data on scattering from large particles, obtained at different angles but at the same concentration, constructed by plotting \(\log _{10}\Delta R\left(\theta \right)\) or \(\log _{10}P\left(\theta \right)\) versus \((\sin \frac{\theta}{2})^{2}\) or \(q^{2}\) and (usually) used for the evaluation of the radius of gyration. \(\Delta R(\theta)\) is the excess Rayleigh ratio, \(P\left(\theta \right)\) the particle scattering function, \(\theta \) the scattering angle and \(q\) the length of the scattering vector.
