The operation of an @A00333@ in such a way that one or more analytical procedures must be completed for a @ST06775@ of samples before the next @ST06775@ can be started. This term batch usually implies a @ST06775@ of a variably sized group of samples, the size of which is not related to a particular type of instrument.
