activation analysis (nuclear)

A kind of elemental or isotopic analysis based on the measurement of characteristic @R05048@ from @N04257@ formed directly or indirectly by @A00093@ of the @T06284@. In general, a specification is added of the type of the incident radiation (e.g. @N04116@, photon) and its @E02101@ (e.g. thermal, fast).
