catenane polymer

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.15310
Polymer composed of macromolecules consisting of physically catenated macrorings that have no atom in common and cannot be separated unless chemical bonds are broken.
Notes:
  1. A catenane polymer can be graphically represented as follows:
    catenane polymer
  2. A catenane-polymer main chain resembles a jewelry or technical chain of physically interlocked rings.
  3. A catenane polymer can be a linear, branched, or network polymer.
