Polymer prepared from a vinyl halide (monohalogenoethene).
Notes:
  1. A molecule of a regular polyvinyl halide is described by the constitutional repeating unit: \[\ce{-[-CHX-CH2\bond{-}]_{n}\bond{-}}\] where \(\ce{X}\) is \(\ce{F}\), \(\ce{Cl}\), \(\ce{Br}\), or \(\ce{I}\).
  2. Polyvinyl halides are a subclass of vinyl polymers.
