Definition
Quotient calculated as total plant (shoot + root) dry mass at different salt concentrations compared to the total plant dry mass obtained for the controls, as indicated below: \[S_{\rm{T}} = m_{\rm{d}}({\rm{x}})/m_{\rm{d}}({\rm{i}})\] where \(m_{\rm{d}}\) is the total dry mass, and \(x\), \(i\) refer to a control treatment and a defined salt treatment, respectively.
