Any of a number of plates containing a series of wells which may be used for storage or to perform individual assays.
Notes:
  1. Typically, these plates are constructed of a variety of clear and opaque plastics, and can contain from 6 to 3456 individual wells.
  2. White plates are typically used for luminescence, assay black plates for fluorescence assays, and clear plates for absorbance assays.
