fluorescence correlation assay

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.14134
Assay in which fluctuations in fluorescence intensity are detected and used to characterize a species that is labeled with a fluorescent probe.
Note: The fluctuations are measured for a small volume of the total assay sample and are attributed to local diffusion of the probe in the detected volume or interactions that change the quantum yield of fluorescence.
