Natural logarithm of the ratio of the displacement of a damping curve separated by one period of the displacement.
Note: If equals the \(n^{th}\) displacement of the damping curve and equals the \((n + 1)^{th}\) displacement (\(n = 1, 2, 3, \dots\)), then \(\mathit{\Lambda} = \ln(A_{n}/A_{n + 1})\).
