equilibrium melting temperature

Temperature at which perfect polymer crystals of infinite thickness melt under equilibrium conditions.
Notes:
  1. The equilibrium melting temperature can be determined, for example, from a Hoffman–Weeks plot.
  2. The transition occurring at the equilibrium melting temperature is a first-order phase transition.
