Measure of the free energy of binding per heavy atom count (i.e. non-hydrogen) of a molecule.
Notes:
  1. It is used to rank the quality of molecules in drug discovery, particularly in fragment-based lead discovery.
  2. An LE value of \(\pu{1.25 kJ mol-1}\) per non-hydrogen atom is the minimum requirement of a good lead or fragment.
