Regular array of wells in a single moulded body with a short sorbent bed or disc embedded at the base of each well.

Notes:
  1. The design of a typical multiwall extraction plate is shown in the figure below.
  2. Multiwell plates typically contain 24, 96, 256, or 384 wells with volumes varying from about \(\pu{100 \upmu\!L}\) to \(\pu{10 mL}\). They are used for parallel sample processing in high throughput applications.
