Extraction in which the extraction phase and the sample are confined in an extraction vessel and processed according to a defined procedure.
Note: Term "batch" is also used in extraction to indicate a number of samples extracted sequentially or simultaneously by the same procedure (e.g. extraction of sample batch(es)).
