Nominal property that, in an examination, does not affect the nominal property that is actually examined, but affects the relation between the nominal indication on the examining system and the examination result.

Example: Contaminating microbiological species may influence the nominal indication of a nominal property related to the examined species.
Note: A quantity might also influence a nominal property.
