Nominal property intended to be examined.

Examples:
  1. Morphology of cells in blood.
  2. The taxon of \(Entamoeba\) in faeces.
Notes:
  1. The nominal property value of an examinand may be different from that of the property actually being examined due to changes of the system bearing the property during the examination.
  2. The examined value may be obtained indirectly through examinations of other nominal properties, giving the examined value by using an algorithm which may involve measurement results and examination results.
