coiled-tube field-flow fractionation

initialism: CTFFF

Field-flow fractionation in a long (usually \(\pu{10 m}\) or more) rotating coiled column under the action of asymmetrical centrifugal field.

Notes:
  1. CTFFF can be attributed to non-conventional sedimentation field-flow fractionation (SdFFF), which enables the sample mass to be increased to gram levels.
  2. The complex asymmetrical force field is generated in planetary centrifuges where the column drum rotates around its own axis and at the same time revolves around the central axis of the centrifuge.
