Chromatography in which molecules are separated by interactions between their hydrophobic moieties and hydrophobic sites on the surface of the stationary phase.
Note: High salt concentrations are used in the mobile phase and separations are effected by changing the salt concentration. Gradients are run by decreasing the salt concentration over time.
