Ion fragmentation technique in mass spectrometry-driven proteomics used mostly in Kingdon trap (Orbitrap™) instruments. It does not have low mass cut-off of collision-induced dissociation (CID) and therefore is used for the tandem mass tag of stable isotope labels.
