        <item>Hyperbranched macromolecules, unlike dendrimer molecules, usually comprise a number of randomly distributed linear constitutional repeating units. Examples of hyperbranched molecules with a core unit. Terminal, linear and dendritic constitutional repeating units and the core unit are circled. The preferred constitutional repeating unit is chosen such that the branch points are at its end in the dendron direction.</item>
