        <item>In a dendron, macrocycles of constitutional units are absent. Example of a regular dendron, highlighting dendritic constitutional repeating units, terminal constitutional repeatingunits, end-groups, the dendron direction and the free valence. The preferred constitutional repeating unit is chosen such that the branch points are at its end in the dendron direction. </item>
