      <text>Measurement methods combining spectrometric and electrochemical measurements.</text>

        <item>A UV-Vis light beam is directed through an electrode or through an adjacent diffusion layer in an electrochemical cell, and the changes in absorbance, resulting from the species generated or consumed in the electrode process or being present at electrode-solution interface, are monitored.</item>
        <item>With optically transparent electrodes (OTE), molecular adsorbates, polymer films, or other modifying layers attached to the electrode surface or being present in the phase adjacent to the electrode can be studied. By coupling a spectroscopic technique such as UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy to an electrochemical experiment, complementary information as a function of the potential, time, and mass transport is available.</item>
