electromagnetic radiation that undergoes multiple reflection between two flat and parallel surfaces.
Notes: - Interference fringes are frequently observed in the transmission spectrum of a cell with flat windows and in non-scattering polymer films.
- A spectrum of interference fringes is termed a channel spectrum.
