Three-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy for the assignment of protein structure with one carbon and two hydrogen dimensions.
Notes:
- Magnetization is transferred from the side-chain hydrogen nuclei to their attached \(\ce{^{13}C}\) nuclei. Magnetization is then exchanged between neighbouring \(\ce{^{13}C}\) nuclei via the J-coupling and finally transferred back to the side-chain hydrogen atoms for detection.
- The nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum can be useful in aiding side-chain assignment.
